Product Management
One of the nice features of Beanbasket is the ability for you to manage all aspects of your products from directly
within the Beanbasket Administrator. Your Beanbasket online store is organized into categories and items. Each
category can contain either additional sub-categories or items. There is no limitation on the number of sub-categories,
or level of sub-categories, that you may have in your catalog.
Categories/Sub-Categories
Beanbasket allows you to easily manage and group your products through the use of categories and sub-categories. You
can provide a short and long description as well as a thumbnail and large image. The order of categories and
sub-categories is controlled by setting a sequence number on the category setup. A direct link url is created
for each category that allows for direct linking from in online promotions. You can also hide categories which
allows for the esay removal of groups of products that may have been discontinued. This feature allows you to
setup categories of products within Beanbasket and keep them hidden from public display on your site until your
ready to launch the products for purchase.
Products/Items
Beanbasket provides you with complete control over the setup and maintenance of your products.
Descriptions
Short and long descriptions along with Meta Keywords and Meta Descriptions can be used to provide detail about
the product and optimize it for search engine ranking.
Images
Thumbnail, large and gallery images are used to further enhance the display of the item to your customers. Through
the Beanbasket image management process, you can upload individual images or a group of images in zip files.
Pricing
You can set a single price for each product or use our quantity based discounting feature that provides your
customers with savings on large quantity purchases. If you need to collect payment and allow customers to
enter the payment information (rent, dues, donations, etc) the item can be set to collect the amount entered
by your customer. You can also control whether the item is taxable or non-taxable.
Shipping & Handling
You can enter a shipping amount and a handling charge for each item. For more sophisticated shipping
calculations, Beanbasket provides 6 independent shipping options as well as real-time integration with
UPS Worldship. Shipping options include the ability to charge shipping based on:
- » Number of items ordered
- » Total value of all the items
- » Total weight of all the items
- » Value of each item
- » Weight of each item
- » Per unit of weight
- » Free shipping based on order amount.
You also have the ability to make an item exempt from all shipping charges as well as offer free shipping based
upon a specified order amount.
Product/Item Attributes
Assign a product id or SKU for each item as well as control the order in which the product are displayed through
your online store using sequencing. Set the item as a Featured Item for display on the home page of your site
or a Featured Items section of your Web site. You can setup and assign suppliers to products. You can also
assign Custom Item Options that allow you to provide options such as size, color or any other option for an item.
Inventory Management
Beanbasket allows you to control inventory for each product. Inventory levels can be set in addition to
inventory thresholds that will trigger a low inventory notification to go to a designated email address.
Inventory processing also will remove products from being displayed through the online store when the
thresholds have been met or allow backorders for products when inventory is low or out.
Related/Recommended Items
Beanbasket allows you to assign related products to an individual product to ease the shopping experience for

E-Products
Do you have software, e-books or other e-products to sell? No problem with Beanbasket's ESD functionally. Upload
your product during the product setup process and control the time customers have to access and download the
product after purchase. Beanbasket also allows you to assign Serial Numbers/Product Keys at the time of purchase.
