The Information We Collect

In all the services provided by us, we require you to provide information that is relevant to that particular service. This information is collected solely for the purposes of tracking the necessary information to provide you with that service. In general, we track the URL that you come from, where you go to next, what browser you are using, and your IP address. Nearly all internet sites collect this information in order to analyze usage levels for capacity planning. This information is not directly linked to your personal information, only used to determine where people go on our sites.
If you establish a credit account with us, we collect the necessary information required for us to handle billing and shipping. If credit card numbers are used in the order, we must take that information to authorize the transaction.

For message boards and chat rooms, we collect only the information that you provide to us.

For correspondence regarding requests for service, problems with your site, billing, and other issues, we track that information and make it available to you as a customer of Beantree. All job requests, billing history, and other historical information is available for our customers through our secure client service area of our website.

How We Use Information

Internally, we use the information provided to us to improve our marketing and promotional campaigns. We look at site usage to improve content, offer new products and services, and potentially customize layout depending on the browser you are using. Based on this high-level tracking, we make attempts to give you targeted information based on your interests, such as banners and other promotional materials.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. The sole use of these addresses is for correspondence and they are not otherwise shared in any other way.

For our customers, we use your email address and/or phone number to contact you regarding various technical or administrative issues. Billing information is handled through the credit card information supplied to us or, if you should so elect, special invoicing.

The information that we maintain about you is used to resolve grievances, analyze various technical or other problems, and enforce our Terms of Service. Our applications typically provide login information which allows us to get direct access to your specific information which is used to solve these problems.

Disclosure of Information

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise redistribute any information about you to any third party without your prior consent. The option to distribute your information is always changeable through various account profile screens.

We do provide overall usage information to advertisers for promotional purposes. Specific information is not given, merely statistical totals to enable us to market our services. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form. Information on your login, password, credit card and bank accounts will never be used in this capacity.

For those third parties that Beantree works with that utilize our services, information may be required to use their services. Before using those services, we highly recommend that you review their terms and conditions as well as their privacy statement.

Using Other Users' Information

To faciliate interaction among Beantree members, our applications allow you access to other users' email addresses, phone numbers, and other information that they have elected to make public. By accessing our services, you agree that the information obtained from our applications will be used only for: (a) Beantree related communications, not including unsolicited commercial messages, (b) various services offered through Beantree, and (c) any other purpose that such user has consented to after proper disclosure of where the information is used and stored. Under no circumstances, except as explictly defined in our privacy statement, may you disclose this personal information without our consent and the consent of the user.
Beantree does not tolerate unsolicited email. We grant no license for anyone to add any Beantree user to mailing lists (email or other) without that user's prior consent.

Our Commitment to Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Making credit card purchases through Beantree is more secure than using your credit card for phone or local store purchases. We have dedicated a separate section solely for the purpose of explaining the security that we rely upon on a day to day basis.

Our Commitment to Children' Privacy

In this day and age, protecting the privacy of our children should be important to all of us. For this reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13. For this reason, users attempting to access various services may be restricted from doing so due to this constraint. We can only restrict access if we are able to determine the age of the user of our service.

How to Access or Correct Your Information

You should never disclose your username and password to anyone. You may be held accountable if you lose control of your password and are found at fault. If you feel your password has been compromised in any form, you should immediately change your password and notify us of the occurrence.
All your information is reviewable through application specific account profiles. Each application has facilities to allow that access at easy to find places within the application.

Third Party Services

Our privacy policy governs the information that you supply to us. For those third parties that make use of Beantree applications and services, different rules may exist on their disclosure of information your provide to them. Since we are unable to control their privacy policies, we strongly urge you to request access to their disclosure policies before giving any information about yourself.

How to Contact Us

This privacy policy should be considered in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions for service where appropriate.
Upon request, we will remove any information from our applications including credit card number and expiration date. To make this request, please email privacy@beantree.com with the information that you'd like to have removed, as well as enough information for us to identify you in your request. You may also make the request on our online form.

For your protection, never put your credit card number or other sensitive information in unencrypted email.

We will retain a history of any request to remove information in order to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, and enforce our Terms and Conditions.

Due to system backups, we may still retain certain historical information on tape. Since backups are required, we cannot totally guarantee that your information is completely removed from our systems. However, we will make our best effort to accomodate your requests for information removal within our technical limitations.
